Caserta (Royal Palace) - Pizza - Napoli (Highlights)

Your private driver will greet you at your accommodation (or Naples train station), after a brief presentation you will be accompanied to the luxurious vehicle where our staff will offer you every comfort you need. After that they will give you important information about the tour and the places that you are going to visit.

Caserta, once called “La Torre” (The Tower) due to the Torre of the Acquaviva of the Aragonesi, is one of the most important city of the Campania Region. Its growth starts in the 19th century. This ancient urban development is visible thanks to the historical center called “Caserta Vecchia” (Old Caserta). But the most important part of the city is the “ Royal Palace ”, an amazing building mastership of the artist Luigi Vanvitelli. The Reggia is located in Plaza Carlo III. The building was commissioned to Vanvitelli by Carlo di Borbone, it should have witnessed the power of the Borbone family in Italy and in the same time substite the Palace of Naples due to the political instability of that period. The palace has lived many stories, it was bombed in the 1943 during the World War II, it was the place were the surrender of German troupes in Italy was signed in 1945, and was even the set for a Star Wars movie. Majestic outside, inside are the royal apartments, a very fancy examples of interior design of the ‘800. Well known are the gardens outside called “Giardino Inglese” (English Garden) due to its constructor Andrew Garfner and the typically english layout. Built for the Queen Maria Carolina d’Austria, the gardens have so many different trees, flowers, plants, statues, lakes and the famous “Casino all’Inglese” by Vanvitelli.

All the history is amazing, but after a long stroll in the Reggia is now time for the lunch. Why do not try the famous Neapolitan Pizza? Enjoy the original Pizza in the place it was originally created. Taste a traditional but still delicious margherita or Marinara pizza, or enjoy a more creative one with local toppings.

We will then go to the Naples.Today Naples is culturally and politically speaking one of the most important city of all Italy. Many of the main characteristics that come up to mind when people abroad think of the Italians were born here. The idea of extrovert, singer, dancer of tarantella, player of Mandolino, cunning, Italian who enjoys the sun and the sea are actually from here.

Walking along the “lungomare” you can admire the beauties of the city: the landscapes, the sea, the sun and the flourished villas among which the “Villa comunale” where you can find local aquarium. On Margellina street you will find the “Castello dell’ovo”, a legendary castle situated in the sea linked to the ground through a stone bridge. In this magical place it is said that the poet and magician Virgilius used to spell his casts.

But it is not the only castle, not very far from there there is the “Castel nuovo” or “Maschio Angioino”, a “must” here in Naples. You can visit the apartments inside, the towers and even the dungeons where, according to the legends, there was giant crocodile that used to devour the prisoners locked in the cage. And last but not least the “Castel Sant’Elmo”, on the top of the hill next to the “Certosa di San Martino”. A majestic building, from the roof you can sea the entire city of Naples.

Besides the castles there are hundreds of museums and other buildings that are historically important, such as the “Palazzo Reale” (Royal Palace), house of the Royal family and today a museum where the visitors can admire the fancy apartments, the ballet hall, the paintings and the gardens. Next to the Royal Palace, the National library, giant library that hosts unique and original books signed by the most important writers, philosophers and historians; and the Piazza Pebliscito a extremely wide Plaza, or “Teatro San Carlo” an ancient and beautiful theatre you can both visit it and book a ticket for a play.

Before leaving your private driver please agree upon the time to leave. Then the driver will recommend a suitable time to reach the train station in order to catch your train to get back after this lovely day!

My family and I were incredibly privileged to have had a guide as warm, knowledgable and welcoming as Giovanni. From his prompt arrival to his positive and friendly attitude, Giovanni made the trip an experience to never forget. Giovanni facilitated a seamless journey as we discovered the history of Naples, the beauty of the Amalfi coast, and the quant and breathtaking town of Sorrento. Giovanni communicated in a professional yet personable manner that captivated and enlightened us as we learnt about the profound history, culture and traditions of the area. Not only were we able to make great use of our time thanks to Giovanni’s vast array of awareness with respect to the best locations to visit and explore, but he also treated us to incredible food that made the trip even more delightful. Giovanni is a lovely person and I would certainly recommend him to anyone thinking about visiting the south of Italy. He will truly make your experience worthwhile!

Amazing day with Giovani to the Almafi Coast and Ravello. My son chooses it, and booked ahead. It was breathtaking, amazing views. We took a train from Roma to Naples, then Giovani, our tour guy, was waiting for us at the train station. Giovani was a very nice, polite, smart and friendly person. In addition to his very friendly approach and good sense of humor, he makes us so comfortable. We were talking, laughing, and singing together. We feel like we have known him for a long time. We highly recommend it for sure. Blessed Day!🙏🏾

Look no further, Gio the singing Amalfi Coast tour guide is your man! From the moment we met Gio he was very personable, made sure he knew all our names and connected with each of us! He picked us up in style in his Mercedes van at our hotel and it was very comfortable. He is very passionate, experienced and knowledgeable about his job and the Campania region! We stopped at many scenic sites along the way where we could take the most amazing photos and of course with Gio too! He makes sure everyone is happy and comfortable. We stopped at a beautiful family owned restaurant along the Amalfi and had the best meal we've had in all of Italy! Anthony the owner was amazing! Excellent food and most beautiful views! We made it to Positano and Amalfi and spent our free time there to shop and see the sites. We didn't make it to Ravello because of the rain storm with hail. Yes in May!! However it was not storming in Gio's van! Just a lot of laughter and singing! Gio made our family vacation of 5 unforgettable and we will Treasure it forever. Your search is over, knowledge, experience and excellent prices!! Sandy from Huntsville, Ontario, Canada I 1109/100

from Almalfi coast and Rome

Giovanni was absolutely wonderful and entertaining for our guide for Amalfi coast and Sorrento, he showed us so much and took us to a spectacular mountain top restaurant. The views were outstanding. Carlo, our guide in Rome showed us more than we had ever seen, and is knowledge of the history was amazing. Both were so kind and professional, we could not have asked for more. I would recommend them to everyone!

Look no further! If you want an experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate Amalfi Coast Tour Guide, Geo is your man! Geo gave our family of five adults an experience to remember for a life time. He makes you feel comfortable and ensures to engage with everyone on a personal level by name. We toured Positano and Amalfi, but due to a hail storm May 13th, we felt it was unsafe to tour Ravello. We had a wonderful lunch just outside of Amalfi that was the best meal we had while in Italy at “Le Bonta del Capo” in Conca dei marini. A lovely family owned restaurant overlooking the sea. Anthony was very welcoming and the food specially sourced by his father was amazing! Geo had some great surprises for us along the way that I won’t give away so you’ll be just as surprised! I would highly recommend Geo the singing Lovely Amalfi Coast Tour Guide! Your search is over! 🇨🇦 ❤️ Sandy
