The tour will begin after you meet your private driver who will be easily recognizable due to the sign on which will be written your name and our agency logo at the port where your cruise ship will be docked. After a brief presentation your private driver will accompany you at the luxurious vehicle where and will offer you every comfort you need. Furthermore he will give you important information about the day tour and the places that you are going to visit. Finally, let's get started your dream Private Tour !

You will find yourselves driving to the incredible Sorrento Peninsula. He will stop few times along the way to take fantastic panoramic photos of you with the famous Sorrento, Gulf of Napoli and Amalfi Coast scenary in the background. During the tour,  some cultural and gastronomic general information about the area will be provided along the way (inside the vehicle) by your private driver.Arrived in the city of Sorrento, the private driver will leave you in the historical square called Piazza Tasso for your free time but first of all he will show you the fastest way to go to inner part of the city where you can visit the old churches, museums, the beautiful buildings and the landscapes. You can visit the factories of famous Limoncello; an alcoholic drink made by lemons, sugar and water, a typical Italian product.

Then, before you will be starving , your driver will take you to an incredible Lunch spot which is a local family owned restaurant with an incredible italian scenary surrounding the restaurant. Special appetizer with local Mozzarella cheese and famous Bruschetta, fried vegetable preperad by local italian recipe,  different Pasta taste , house wine, water ,dessert and limoncello to end this amazing authentic lunch in a lovely scenary surrended. The italian food is very well known in all over the world but you will have the opportunity to taste the most original cousine right there in Italy.

On the way to Pompeii, we will drive by Mt. Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for one of the most famous historical events in Italy. The old city of Pompeii is located at the base of the Vesuvius and was flourish during the Period of the Roman Empire. After the eruptions of the Volcano in 79 B.C the city has been destroyed and covered by ashes and lapillus. The Archeological dig started in 1748 and in three centuries only 3/5 part of the city has been discovered. Now the city has been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and 3.750.000 tourists each year come to visit it.

Before leaving your private driver please agree upon the time to leave in order to reach your cruise ship on time. During the ride to the port, you can reminisce about your lovely day mixed with ancient Roman history and one of the most famous coastlines in the world!

  • We can provide a licensed guide for the visit at the archeological site at an extra cost.
  • We recommend to add the extra service of the private guide for the ruins, in this way we can provide you “Skip the line” entrance tickets. Tickets will be paid (in cash) to your guide at the entrance and it is 18 Euro for Adults. It is Free of Charge up to 18 yrs old (they need to show their passaport or ID).
  • Gratuity can be paid to the driver at your discretion (it is not mandatory in italy)

General Informations

According with the driver on the day we can also arrange a different tour. This is something possible caused by the traffic, strikes, bad weather, etc.

All our drivers have been trained to give a tour along the route as you are driven to your destinations, however due to strict Italian laws regulating and protecting licensed tour guides our drivers cannot do this outside of the vehicle, in the towns, sites and museums.

In the very rare event that there is an internal assembly or strike in Pompeii, unfortunately they usually do not advise of this in advance.

Kid Friendly: YES (This tour is suitable for children as long as they are supervised by a parent).

Please , comunicate the age of kids up to 6 years old in order to provide a baby car seat.

We reserve the right to change the order in which we visit the sites.

Passengers with a Reduced Mobility (PRM) Friendly : YES (you must enjoy walking short distances and be able to get in and out of minivan and minibus).

Passaport Holders under 18 years are entitled to free admission to State owned archaeological sites (Pompeii, Herculaneum, Etc.) and museums, upon production of a valid photo identity document.

According to our driver on the day , we can also arrange a different tour. This is something possible caused by the traffic , strikes, extreme weather, landslide / mudslide, closed road, etc.

The client must know that we will provide this tour despite bad weather.

Customers must provide information regarding allergies and / or intolerances

Please be advised that some shops or sites may be closed during the off-season (mid-November through mid-March)

Amalfi was our fourth stop after Rome, Firenze and Cinque Terre and we had been on many tours in those cities; but I would say the Amalfi Coast private day tour by Lovely Amalfi Tours was by far the best one! Thanks to our excellent guide Giovanni! ☺️He was an absolute pleasure to travel with-we were one couple with a friend of ours and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest! Giovanni was helpful, vivacious, always ready to take pictures, fill us in on the beauty and history of the gorgeous Amalfi coast, great music selection and just the right spots to visit! Enrico showed such a passion he has for the Amalfi Coast, He was fun, talkative, and Informative about the area of the world he lives. It is hard to find enough adjectives to describe how much our group of six enjoyed the experience with Love Amalfi Tours. Giavani was our driver and we too feel like we made a new friend. We took two tours and it was hard to say goodby to him after our second tour. He is warm, funny, smart, and very informative and creative in the ways he takes you on the excursion you sign up for. We all have travelled a lot and taken many different tours and all six of us agreed that this was the best experience we have ever had. We spent a week at a Villa in Positano and booked two tours through Lovely Amalfi Tou poprs. Our driver was Giovanni. He was professional, pleasant, funny and knowledgeable. On our tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum we also booked a guide for each sight. Lina was our guide and clearly knew the history. We would not have known what we were looking at had we not had Lina guiding us. What is amazing about Lovely Amalfi Tours is that all the drivers and guides are employees. They do not use third party companies to manage their tours. I couldn't have been happier with this choice. I would use them again and would not hesitate recommending them to family and friends.

Our trip to Amalfi coast was made heavenly because of Lovely Amalfi Tours and Giovanni. The service provided was excellent and efficient. Customer service of Melania was fabulous. Gio made sure we saw every inch of Amalfi and his lunch suggestions were fabulous. My most favourite memory is Gio singing to beautiful classics driving along the beautiful coastline of Positano. Best experience ever!
