Capri Walking Tour

The tour will begin after you meet your private tour guide who will be easily recognizable due to the sign on which will be written your name and our agency logo at the port where your cruise ship will be docked. After a brief presentation, he/she will take you to the Jetfoil/Ferry port where you will board the Jetfoil/ferry to the world famous island of Capri at 7:55 am, for this reason it is very important to meet up at 7:30 am!

Capri is a little island located near the Gulf of Naples, technically it is an extension of the Sorrento Peninsula. But it is today of one the most famous and important touristic place of all Italy. Situated in a deep sea, the island has hills and shores most of which due to their conformation are unaccesible, and under those hundreds of submarine grottos. The most important mountaines are Mt.Tiberio and Mt. Solaro, reachable from Anacapri the highest point of Capri. The Island of Capri guests a unique flora and faune both terrestrial and submarine, but it is even one of the most important place for the fashion. The best of both worlds.

From there your next destination will be Anacapri, you will take the famous Funicular which is a more convenient way or the typical Capri taxi (small and open upside) that will assure you a very nice trip with the fee of 25€. Once reached the highest point of the Island, Anacapri, we will start our walking tour. First of all Anacapri and its sorroundings, with the chance to visit the famous Villa San Michele (a museum once owned by a swedish doctor and writer), and then take the “Seggiovia” (Chairlift) to the mount Solaro where you can take a stroll into the nature.Capri also very famous for its grottos like the "Blue Grotto", the underwater caves of the Green Grotto, where piercing green seas shine through a cave hole like a stain glassed window and the Coral Grotto shows off vibrant shades of orange coral which line the cave walls

At the 12:30 you will be taken to the town of Capri for an amazing lunch time, cooked with local ingredients. After that is time to walk again to the "Caesar Augustus gardens" a park from which you can enjoy the best spot to look to the Faraglioni, symbol of the Island.

At this point it’s time for a nice lunch, trust our staff and you will enjoy a incredible meal made by local ingredients, such as seafood and handmade fresh pasta. Alternatively you can have a pizza or a panino, something quicker but equally delicious.

After that it’s leisure time, we will go the port by Funiculare and here you can either go shopping to the famous brands shop, located in all the island or you can choose to take a nice boat trip all around the island.

In the afternoon, after this lovely day spent walking all along the Capri Island, it is time to get back to Sorrento Port/Naples port in order to reach your cruise ship on time.Your guide will help you to board on your Jetfoil/Ferry to get back to your starting port on your own.

General Informations

It is also true that the funicular becomes very busy at the end of the day with many rushing back to Naples, so again, we recommend that you leave in plenty of time.

We always try to make ticket reservations for Jetfoils/Ferry , however they do not guarantee the reservations for us, so we don't take any responsibility for missed hydrofoils or a fully booked ferry.

During your tour, we can stop at the Blue Grotto for a visit. You must transfer from our boat to one of the small rowboats, which are the only crafts able to enter the cave mouth.

Entrance to the Blue Grotto (Capri) is weather/sea condition dependent.

If you find that there is a long line at the funicular as you leave the island, we suggest you take a taxi. Even if we have a pre-purchased ticket , it is worth avoiding the line to ensure your spot on the Jetfoil/Ferry.

Our day visiting the towns along the Amalfi Coast with Gio was an experience never to be forgotten. Every place was beautiful and seeing them with Gio and listening to him singing happily as he drove us safely along the winding roads was a fabulous day. We feel like we have a new friend in Italy! Wish we could do it all over again tomorrow!

My wife and I selected Giovanni for a day trip around Naples, visiting Pompeii and Vesuvius. What a great day. Giovanni put together a really nice itinerary including lunch and wine tasting - but he was also really great fun to be with. We would strongly recommend him for your future tours.

We booked a private Amalfi tour through our agency in Ankara. My husband,my teenage son and I had wonderful time from the start. Our guide Giovanni was very friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable, funny, informative and very professional. It was amazing experience and our tour was a pleasure from the beginning. Positano,Amalfi and Ravello were great places to visit as well as Napoli. The views were stunning and gorgeous.Giovanni recommended us a local restaurant in Amalfi where we had delicious sea food.We strongly recommend this company as everything was very well organized and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you ' Amalfi Tours and many thanks to our tour guide Giovanni who made this tour a memorable experience for us.

Brenda, Lori and Pearl were picked up at Naples port by Gaetano on Sept. 10/16. We had a most memorable day on the Amalfi Coast thanks to our driver Gaetano. We went to Sorrento, Positano and Pompeii. We stopped along the way for pictures and enjoyed the views. Gaetano had arranged for lunch with a wonderful view of Positano below. He played Andrea Bocelli on the way back to port. It was a great day and would definitely book The Lovely Amalfi Coast Tour again.

Our party of 4 were with Giovanni for the Amalfi Coast tour this August. He was promptly at our hotel at 8AM, smiling and enthusiastic to show us this part of "his" Italy. As we departed he gave us some history and quizzed us about our knowledge of his country. He sang to us with his beautiful voice. Every stop he was attentive to what we wanted to see or experience. He liked to discuss politics to history with us. He was interested to know what our personal history was for each person. His van was clean and neat. He even had wet wipes. He seemed to know all the locals and other tour drivers when we stopped. This is the only way to experience the Amalfi coast

We took the Amalfi coastal tour on 17th June 2016.Gaetano picked us up from our B&B in Naples & welcomed us into a aircondtioned minivan. We had an absolutely fantastic day thanks to Gaetano, visiting Positano, Amalfi where we had a lovely lunch then lastly Ravello. All along the way he would stop to allow us amazing photo opportunities of breathtaking views & while im usually not a good passenger I felt very relaxed & safe with Gaetano driving along those narrow coastal roads! We both felt very relaxed the whole day & Gaetano was very friendly & great to talk to. We thought the Amalfi coast was the most beautiful coastline we have ever seen & will be coming back in the near future. When we do we will be using Lovely Amalfi tours again! A big Grazia to Gaetano for making our day one to remember!

We had an amazing day with Enrique to Pompeii, Mt Vesvius, and Naples. He was early to pick us up, polite, personable and we loved him. He drove slow so I wouldn't get carsick, stopped for mazarella cheese, found our guide for Pompeii. He tailored our trip to whatever we wanted to do. We ended up going to Naples for their famous Margerita pizza. The only negative is that I wish we were staying longer so we could spend another day with him!
